Dog show

Easter weekend - there was a dog show at Leopardstown. It was open to the public, but not advertised as such. We happened upon it by accident. There was no obstacle courses or anything like that, just breeders showing their dogs. It involved a lot of brushing and backcombing, standing the dog with the paws perfectly aligned and running around the pitch for a couple of rounds. The dogs seem to be so used to this. Breeders bring them to these things from an early age and they are quite chilled. More so than their owners, who seem quite nervous. I particularly loved the Old English sheepdogs. They are easy to sketch, lots of hair and a little black button for the nose!
