An interesting movie on Netflix - about an Irish UN peace-keeping force in the Congo in 1961. And how politics, at all levels, including the Belgians, the French, the Americans, and the highest ranks of the UN, does not care about individuals on the ground. And how history can silence bravery. But not forever.
Conor Cruise O'Brien doesn't come out of this movie looking too good.
PS: We were in Japan for the last two weeks, and I have lots of photos to share, but it will take me a while to get sorted, so bear with me!
