The Hong Ling retrospective running at the Chester Beatty Library until the 29th of January is well worth a look. There are not many paintings, but they are amazing - a riot of colours, branches, leaves, snow. I want to paint like that!
Photography wasn't allowed, and the images available as postcards or online really don't do the paintings justice. I'll definitely want to go for another stroll among those wonderful pieces before the exhibition closes.I did manage to find one image that conveys the scale and power of the paintings in an article from The Glass magazine, so I'll share it with you below. So I hope that will make you want to go and see the exhibition!
