The Bridges of Dublin City - Part 3

Well, we didn't go far this time. I started between Ha'penny Bridge and O'Connell Bridge. Then we moved to Rosie Hackett Bridge and sketched Butt Bridge and Loopline Bridge. They look like one bridge from there, so it was two for the price of one.

We were interrupted by the rain and retreated to a little café across the Abbey Theatre. First time to use my Vaccination Cert!

The Heineken building with O'Connell Bridge in front of it! A busy bridge, with a lot of buses and trams and pedestrians. I just drew the tram and its passengers!

Is this the face of Anna Livia?

The baby seagulls are getting big. And they have a way of looking at you that says "feed me please, I'm hungry!" Ha'penny Bridge in the background.

O'Connell Bridge again, with buses this time. They seem to go in big convoys, always two at a time. That's typical of buses anywhere, isn't it?

This building just on the South of O'Connell Bridge is home to the Wax Museum. Can you see Batman ans Nosferatu?

Butt Bridge (with trucks) and Loopline Bridge (with the DART - Dublin Area Rapid Transport). The Customs House on the left and the IFSC (International Financial Services Centre) beside it. And a few cranes. This sketch was interrupted by a vicious shower that forced us to retreat - we found shelter under the arches at the Abbey Theatre, but when the rain looked like it was going to persist for a while, we went to the café across the way. After we finished eating and sketching inside the café, the rain had abated and we went back to the bridge to finish our sketches.

It's called Del Rio's café. It was my first time inside a restaurant/café since last September! That's how long this pandemic has put things on hold for us here in Ireland! The current system is that you have to show your vaccination cert and proof of ID to eat indoors. This was my first time. Eggs on toast never tasted so exciting!
