Coomeenole beach - watercolour

I don't think I ever painted as much on a holiday, ever. Everywhere we went, I had my watercolour sketchbook at the ready. The good weather helped of course, as my other half was happy to sit at the beach and enjoy the sunshine while I was busy painting. I used quite a bit of masking fluid for this one, so there was a lot of waiting around (waiting for the masking fluid to dry, waiting for the paint to dry)

I'm quite happy with how this sketch worked out - I managed to give a sense of the power of the waves, and yet I kept the water light and transparent.
