NCAD

Beautiful crisp day, cold but perfect if you're well wrapped up.  So I knew these stills were in the yard at the back of the NCAD. I didn't realise at the time that this was where the old Powers Whiskey distillery was and a lot of the buildings are actually part of the original distillery, which was one of the largest whiskey producers in the world. Lots more to explore on my next visit.

A few links if you want to read more about the various buildings inside the NCAD student complex.

I want to go back and try different techniques, but on this occasion, the sun was in the South East and there was a good sense of light and dark, which I hopefully managed to convey. Part of the energy for me was that it's the College of Art and Design, and it felt a little bit intimidating. Mind you, none of the art students even looked at me! I think they do more conceptual stuff these days!
