Mannings is an old-fashioned bakery and tea room, like they don't make them anymore. There is a lovely feeling in sitting there with a scone and a cup of tea and observing my surroundings. I was chatting at the same time as sketching, so maybe that's why this sketch feels a little bit unfinished, but I like the diagonal and I'm going to leave it as is.
And Alice will probably be pleased at how young I drew her. And yes, her mouth is open because she was talking!
