More gourds - starting to obsess now!

Still not happy with this one. I traced my drawing onto watercolour paper. I did get some nice effects. But the greens don't work for me. And I used faaaar too much paint splatters.

So, I lifted a good bit of the background and applied a plainer wash - Buff Titanium for the upper section, and Cobalt Blue for the bottom. It's still not great. Generally, when I start to obsess like this, it's not a good sign. It means I'm getting frustrated, focussing on what's wrong rather than enjoying the process. And I start painting really heavily.  I'll have to find a way to let it go.
