Since we got the
Aine McAteer book, Recipes to Nurture, we've been looking for one elusive ingredient - umeboshi vinegar. It's made from the umeboshi plums (don't ask! I have no idea what they are!). Véronique kept telling me to have a look in health-food shops, but I never got around to it, until today. So I'm delighted we got this now. It's got a nice salty taste, and it's pink. There is a gorgeous plum smell when you open the bottle. Now all I have to do is find the recipe that required it!
