Some days, the sea across Dublin Bay is really calm. This was after a rainy night, but somehow, the sky cleared and the rest of the day was lovely. Here's my interpretation (on Quarter sheet watercolour paper). Glad that I am finally starting to paint seascapes, which I have been meaning to do for months. I hope I stick to it, even just once a week would be good!
In the distance you can see the two chimneys at the Poolbeg power station (decommissioned) and to the left of it, the steam coming out of the incinerator. It took years to get approved through the planning process, and now we hardly notice it.
This is stunning!!
