I'm now at the stages in this Domestika course where I have to create connections between unrelated pages! Laura McKendry had told us to pick random pages in our sketchbooks for the technical exercises, and now the fun begins when you have to mix themes and techniques, and also connect pages into a seamless flow.
Well, on this spread, I'm going from an oriental sweetlips to an octopus to a squid-like pumpkin, with little poppy-seed pods that look like they're rushing across the waves. Not the kind of thing that comes naturally to me, but this would be so much fun in a children's book!
