Timber lounging in the sun

We are lucky to have a garden, but it's not the most exciting space to sketch. Bare block walls, grey decking, weeds (don't worry, I'll be sketching these too!)
But Timber is always a good subject. As he gets older (he's 7, and definitely slower), it becomes easier and easier to sketch him, particularly when it's warm and he doesn't have the energy to get up and move away from my intense attention.

With coronavirus confinement, we are spending more time at home. Actually, the only times we leave the house (apart from the weekly grocery shopping) is to go for Timber's walks, twice a day, every day, rain or shine. And I really think that he can't believe his luck - Mummy and Daddy at home, all day, every day. We're always there. And that's heaven for a dog. So let's hear it for all the pets who are having the time of their lives, with the whole family around them, giving them attention, and taking them for endless walks!

So that's part one in my story of love.
