2 bins, a hosta, an acer, a cat and a dandelion

We're all going through the roller-coaster of emotions these days, aren't we. I'm very lucky to have two yoga teachers who are keeping us grounded. And lots of art projects. But it's not easy when you describe yourself as an urban sketcher, and you can't go anywhere and sit down (or even stand) to sketch. In Ireland at the moment, we're allowed outside, but strictly speaking, for exercise only. Now, this is Ireland, and we're seeing more and more people sitting on benches for a chat, or even picnic blankets on the green in our estate. Well, I'm not comfortable doing that yet, and our backgarden is pretty featureless.

But the doorstep at the front is a good spot, as long as the Northerly wind isn't too strong.
So I spent a very pleasant half hour or so sketching our beautiful hosta (thanks to a very dry Spring - but we will pay for it when Irish Water impose water restrictions due to the drought in Ireland - I know two words that should never go together!), the bins, the acer, a not-so-lonely dandelion (artistic licence was used - I'm a believer in letting the dandelions grow so that our bees can survive), and Sumi doing his ablutions. Definitely would be too cold today to sit there.

And I forgot to say that where those bins are was where we'd always said we'd put a bench to enjoy the late afternoon soon. But the neighbourhood trees grew, and we never got around to it. And now, well, we got wheelie bins about 10 years ago I guess, so no room for a bench! And it would be too cold there most of the time anyway.
