I have been looking at these cranes for months and I've kept telling myself that I wanted to sketch them some more before they disappear. Somehow, there was always something else to do, someone else's priorities. But I finally drew them. From the upstairs windows, but still, from direct observation! I love cranes. I don't like the apartment blocks that are under construction behind the houses on our housing estate. But what can you do? We objected so many times! I'd say that seeing them in reality now is quite a shock to a lot of people. They really dominate the landscape!
