Grey skies on the horizon

This is quite a small painting. I painted three on one page, separating each section with masking tape. I just wanted to paint more Irish skies. They are definitely more interesting than pure blue, despite the obvious disadvantages (cold, rain, no shadows are the three items that come to mind). This one is the view from the mount at the edge of the car park in Malahide Castle. There is a gorgeous line of trees in the distance. I painted it from a photograph I had taken a while back.
