Shellac nails

My nails are back to normal now, but I had a couple of weeks after the removal of the Shellac polish when they were extremely brittle. I had to cut them really short to stop them from splitting. Conclusion? Yes, I would go for Shellac again for a special occasion, as they make the nails look spectacular, but I wouldn't use it on a continual basis.
