The actual Christmas roses are still doing quite well, actually, but I've probably exhausted all my inspiration for this year, with this simple little watercolour. I painted the colours very roughly first, then added the leaves with one of my beloved black
Faber-Castell PITT artist pens. Sometimes, less is more. I should try to remember that when I'm struggling with a painting.
