Working from photos now. Taken on the canal on a sunny day. The water was so clear you could see right through to the bottom. I had to add a little bit of gouache to catch the light on edges and in the ripples. I need to work on my lily pad shapes. I like the vertical version on the left better for that reason. But the one of the right shows the stalks in the water. A good foundation to work from.
