Winter trees

Back to sketching! It feels so good to be back out on the streets, even if it's cold. It's never that cold in Dublin, really. It's just the wind and the damp can get into your bones. Nothing that thermals and mittens and woolly hats and scarves can't help!

Good sketching spot at the Starbucks at the old Anglo-Irish bank building across from Stephen's Green - there's a good outdoor terrace and friendly staff inside.

The trees are at their barest now, so I wanted to catch them before the first spring buds come out in February. Pen and ink. I added the watercolour when I got home.

This direct watercolour, I did on location.  I'm really not sure where I was going with it, but that's ok.
