The beauty of having a studio book - even after a pause, you can pick up where you left off, or anywhere you want. Maybe a month ago, I got some sumi ink. It didn't do what I wanted it to do, but it created beautiful darks. And with oil pastel on top, interesting abstract effect that remind me of the jagged rocks on the coast near Allihies. All I had were a couple of collages in my studio book. But, along with some of my photos from last May, they are inspiring this exploration of the landscape.
