Rocks are hard, right? Well, I've spent a few days practising them. But these first two are still my favourite. The trick for me was to keep the top part of the rocks a really light value, and to connect the darks all together. This is done from imagination on a small piece of watercolour paper. Let's see if I can keep it loose and interesting in a larger format and work from a photo.
