This is a picture from an artist I've just found out about. Her name is Fionnuala Ní Chiosáin. This painting is called "Infant View" (2001, acrylic, oil, gouache & sumi ink on aluminium). I haven't seen any of her paintings in the flesh, but what I've found on the web look good: here is a link to the main site I've found. She works mainly in water media. What appeals to me is the ink elements, which are very Japanese, in my eyes anyway!
