We live in a world where there are so many distractions. I follow a good few artists on Instagram, and it's always tempting when they advertise their courses and patreons and skillshare classes, etc. But there is only so many hours in the day, particularly if you're pursuing your own art practice! But when Suhita Shirodkar offered a paid subscription on Substack, with a monthly sketch-together Zoom session, I was in! First of all of course, I love Suhita's work, and also she's a great teacher. These sessions are not about teaching, though, but you can learn so much by just watching her draw into wet paint! And it's a great practise, to draw something quickly, as you would if you were on the streets of Prague, and your backpack is heavy, and there are so many tourists around, that you're not going to be able to spend more than half an hour on a sketch! Here is what I sketched in half an hour, from the comfort of my own home! Can't wait to be back on the streets of Dublin sketching. Soon!!
