I've tried to post these before, but Google blocked it. So I will just post the sketches and see what happens. So I have added most of my text as a comment!
I don't understand why Google won't let me publish this page. It says the content is violating their community guidelines. I don't get it.
I love sketching with friends. It's always a motivation to push myself beyond what I would do if I was on my own. Yes, I am definitely a social sketcher. At the same time, I always like to arrive a bit early and start on my own. I need time to get into the zone, and I can't do that while chatting. But once I'm in the zone, there's no stopping me. And food definitely needed to be sketched before it was eaten! This casual eatery on Abbey Street provided warming food on a cold day! The building across the way, with its beautiful red brick and green/blue window frames, will be gone soon. It's for sale, and it probably will be replaced by a bland boring shop. I know my sketches are not precise enough to reconstruct, but sketching is my way of honouring the city's beautiful architecture of old. Sketching is an act of keeping the memory of the city alive.
