Used candle wax this time. Much better. Next time I will try to apply it thinner, with masking tape on both sides to create a thinner line.
Very happy with my long white cloud - flushing the watercolour with a pipette full of clear water was effective. Then adding darker paint above and below to increase the contrast. I am thinking of a series of paintings inspired by the landscape of New Zealand, so this technique will be perfect!
I added some Prussian Blue to my watercolour mix (Holbein Neutral Tint, Daniel Smith Phthalo Turquoise, and Daniel Smith Prussian Blue)
