I seem to be yo-yoing a lot these days. One day a painting is a disaster, the next, it's lovely. I've had too many distractions. I'm hoping the month of June will help me to refocus on direct watercolour and how I approach it. This one is a view of Killary Fjord, the only fjord in Ireland. I took the photo many years ago and the sea was like a mirror.
It's difficult to photograph such a low-value-contrast painting. A very different palette from my usual mid-tone. But I think it works. What do you think?
