Delahunt

We were sketching on Camden street and the building of choice was Delahunt, a restaurant. It actually gets a mention in Ulysses. After sketching the outside, trying to get proportions more or less right, I went inside, got a cuppa tea and took out my watercolours to sketch the view I had across the bar - what I have captured is what was in front of me and the reflections in the mirror. I didn't get to sketch myself as a plastic bucket was dropped on the counter and left there right in front of me for most of the time. Thankfully, I had already sketched the elements that I needed. Halfway through my sketch, someone turned on the lights and there was a lot more golden reflections than initially, which was easy to adjust.
I did add some notes in my sketchbook when I got home, but forgot to photograph the pages afterwards. I was happy with my page layouts. I've done a lot of ink drawing lately. I really want to get back to sketching in direct watercolour, but I guess winter is not the best time for that!
