Hard to paint clouds when you're outside and it's windy and your watercolours are drying faster than you can paint, even though this is Ireland and the temperatures are barely getting to 16 degrees celsius! Should have wetted my palette better and made juicier washes!
It would be interesting to see how many weather references there are in Ulysses? June 16 1904 was supposed to be a beautiful warm summer day, so maybe not that many!
