Colour mixes - exploring MANS, Phthalo blue, Mayan Yellow and a few others

If in doubt, paint colour swatches (and then ignore them)

Potters' Pink and Monte Amiata Natural Sienna make an interesting mix. And Phthalo blue is good for dark greens. I don't tend to use it much, though.

I should take another picture of this one, it doesn't show these colours at their best. I must try and use these subtle mixes more often to balance my paintings better. I tend to use all bright colours! Burnt Sienna + Cobalt Blue, Buff Titanium + cobalt blue, Monte Amiata Natural Sienna + Lavender, my personal favourite of this lot.
