Having just watched a YouTube watercolour demonstration by Uma Kelkar, I feel I have so much to learn still, but the only way to learn is by painting - I can read all about composition, hard and soft edges, tea, milk, honey, keeping whites and all these wonderful things. But the important thing for me is to put paint to paper and see if I can remember and apply the techniques I've learnt over the years, through books, videos and a few workshops. Sometimes it all comes together. Sometimes you're the bug.
