I'm concluding that hands are hard to sketch - I was trying to capture my husband cooking - mostly cutting and grating vegetables, but I'm going to have to practise a lot more, and develop my own shorthand (pun un-intended)
Of course, what I should have realised at the time is that I was trying to sketch the person, not the verb! Next time, I need to place a little post-it in front of me to remind me!
In the end, I gave up trying to draw the hand - I just tried to give an idea of the general posture, the head bent down, the right shoulder up.
