I love our monthly sessions with Suhita. Each month, she comes up with an interesting idea, a "how will we solve this problem" question. And then we sketch for half an hour. Love the time element. I think I should set a timer when I'm on location, as I have become slower at sketching and the results are not necessarily better. This was done from a photo of a market stall in Poland. Oh, and I'm also doing the monochrome theme from Liz Steel's Patreon. Not enough hours in the day, so I combined the two!

Duke Street - busy and noisy
I really love colour, so I don't know how long I will last, but I decided to start the month in monochrome, the theme from Liz Steel's Patreon community. Platinum Carbon ink, Faber Castell Pitt Dual Marker (warm grey), FC Pitt oil base extra soft pencil.
The pub we were sketching on that day, Davy Byrnes, had a small digger working in front of it, digging up the street, no idea why, and it was incredibly noisy. So I took refuge in the alleyway beside the Duke pub, and sketched the Burton Tavern. Yes, there are a lot of pubs on that street. After I was done with the Burton Tavern, I joined the others in front of Davy Byrnes and had fun sketching the digger, which was constantly moving. When I got home later, my ears were still ringing.
