Let's see if this pink tight-fitting dress gets the boys' attention!

There seems to be a lot of talk about Irish weather forecasters again these days. Will Jean top the polls again? Or is Joanna Donnelly going to overtake her?

Actually, it's an orange-red, or at least that's how it looks on the RTE Player on my computer. This style of dress is quite flattering, isn't it?

Quite a different style from Jean's usual - muted colours, short sleeves. I like the idea of it, the sleeves in particular are very flattering, but the overall look lacks a certain je-ne-sais-quoi.

PS: really hard to get a good screen shot - there is an annoying Lyons Tea ad that pops up every time I pause the RTE Player and when I close it, a black square remains over the centre of the shot. I wish RTE gave their viewers the option to skip the ads on the Player!

How did I miss that one? Jean Byrne was wearing a very interesting dress on Saturday night - I'm not sure what material it's made of, but from here, it looks like mock-snake-skin. Beautiful cut. And perfectly enhanced by a satin green belt, and no jewelry. With such a statement dress, you definitely don't need any accessories.

Not a bad dress, this one, with a lovely yellow ribbon detail - it would look a lot better with a narrower bracelet, though. Those big chunky ones are not flattering on the bare arms, I think.

A favourite of mine - very flattering dress! And I think that the finer bracelets suit Jean better than the black chunkier ones she often wears.

I much prefer this top - flattering long sleeves, lace detail (is one sleeve lace and one sleeve plain?). And of course the big pendant! Classic Jean Byrne!

Not so sure about this top - I really liked the long-sleeved black top. But here, maybe it's because it's sleeveless or because of the white part. It just doesn't work for me. What do you think?

I was pretty sure I had seen this outfit on Jean Byrne a couple of weeks ago, but then I thought that the skirt looked a brighter gold than the previous time, and then I realised it was a proper mini-skirt! Unfortunately, the cameramen are not allowed to show us a full leg view, so you really can't see it properly. But I'm sure the boys on the online boards have noticed!

Another out-there outfit for Jean Byrne. It's hard to describe. Cat-woman meets Victorian widow? I like the long sleeves. Not sure about the lace. But then again, without the lace, it would be just a plain black jumpsuit, wouldn't it? And the necklace piece with the three large circular plates is definitely a show-stopper. I think Jean carries it off. What do you think?

New outfit for Jean Byrne last night! Hallelujah! Beautiful long-sleeved black top with a basque - very much in fashion this winter. Dark gold skirt - first hint of the festive season! And a showpiece pendant/necklace, which makes her knuckle duster ring look small!

Jean Byrne, 9 Sept, Dairy Milk?

Only a few days ago, Jean Byrne was wearing her beautiful yellow dress - great fit, great colour. I thought it looked fantastic on her. Not many people can carry yellow, but Jean definitely can.

But last night, she was sporting a new outfit, a purple satin dress, that I think did nothing for her. The sleeves are too frumpy, the front is too blocky. BB's first thought when he saw it was "Cadbury Dairy Milk". And I'm afraid he was right. Judge for yourselves.
