This version went through many phases, from a light initial wash to a super dull ugly duckling phase when I had applied lots of ArtGraf in ochre colour and then added watercolour on top, leading to mud. I tried to recover it with black ArtGraf, then red and yellow. I like the feeling of this one. This is on half sheet Saunders Waterford cold press paper, which I found too textured initially. But it allowed for layers and washing off all that ochre ArtGraf. Where the other papers would have fallen apart if I had given them such a beating. Maybe I need to try some Saunders Waterford hot press?
