Remember that last "proper" painting I did on half sheet, with the forestry under the big sky? Well, I'm trying to explore a bit more how to approach that scene. Here are two versions I did in a sketchbook. The first one is with my usual paints. The second is with the White Nights watercolours I got from Crafty Studio. There is something about trying new paints that gets my artistic juices flowing! Next step will be to carry that back to the large format!
These were done in a hot press Etchr sketchbook (the one with the white cover). Hot press is not normally my thing but I'm liking the effects here!
