When I looked over my shoulder as we were crossing one of the bridges in Kyoto, I knew we had to find shelter, fast!And by the way, did I tell you that my better half saw a snake right on that path by the river, and not a small one. I'm glad I wasn't with him at the time (I had gone sketching). When he asked the walking tour guide if they were common in the city, she answered "I don't know. I'm from Ōsaka!"
